Lithuania borders Latvia, Belarus and Poland and has a wonderful 90 km of the Baltic Sea coastline.

Lithuania is now well connected by rail to the rest of Europe. Daily trains operated by LTG Link and PKP Intercity link Vilnius with Warsaw and Kraków (with a seamless platform transfer at Mockava on the Lithuanian-Polish border). From December 2025, two trains run daily, reducing the Warsaw–Vilnius journey to approximately 7.5 hours. Kaunas is also served on this route.

Since January 2025, Vilnius is also connected to Riga and Tallinn by a coordinated daily rail service, operated jointly by LTG Link, Latvian carrier Vivi, and Estonian carrier Elron. The Vilnius–Tallinn journey takes approximately 10.5 hours with two short transfers (in Riga and in Valga), and a single ticket covers the entire route. The Rail Baltica high-speed line, currently under construction, will eventually cut the Vilnius–Tallinn journey to under 4 hours and connect the Baltic capitals directly to Warsaw and the broader European rail network.
