From Vilnius Airport Reconstruction and New Destinations to Capsule Hotel in Riga
Vilnius Airport is to Open a New Passengers Departure Terminal
Vilnius Airport is constructing a new passenger departures terminal (T4). The construction progress is significantly ahead of schedule, allowing us to anticipate utilizing the benefits of the new terminal as early as early 2025. Once finished, the combined area of all passenger terminals at Vilnius Airport will expand by one-third, facilitating a doubling of passenger throughput from 1,200 passengers per hour to 2,400.
Žydrė Gavelienė, the General manager of Estravel has visited the construction site and shares her thoughts: “The future departures terminal is going to be great! We are looking forward to: quick and self-service baggage drop, no need to take laptops and other electronic devices out of backpacks anymore, significantly faster security checks, double the passenger capacity, and even 40 check-in counters.”
Seven New Destinations at Vilnius Airport in 2025
As the major reconstruction in Vilnius airport is getting in full swing Vilnius will welcome 7 new destinations in the summer of 2025. Airline airBaltic continues to expand its network and introduces seven new destinations from Vilnius for the upcoming summer season: Prague (Czech Republic), Rhodes (Greece), Tel Aviv (Israel), Chisinau (Moldova), Ibiza (Spain), Tirana (Albania), and Valencia (Spain).
“Besides seven new direct flights to Vilnius, airBaltic will introduce four direct flights from Riga and five from Tallinn. This increase in regional connectivity will benefit travelers wanting to explore undiscovered Baltic countries and travel easier in Europe” – says Julija Poskiene, Business Development Manager at Estravel.
