That’s what makes one great Baltic Connecting 2024 event

Baltic Connecting 2024 brought together travel industry professionals from long-haul markets, including the USA, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Australia, with providers and DMCs in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Thanks to smooth decisions, partnerlike and can-do attitude from Lithuania Travel, Estravel team was delighted to conduct all aspects of event management including online solutions, registration, communication with participants, co-authored conceptual event design and program, management of all air and ground services, such as flights, accommodation, entertainment, catering and organization or pre and post fam trips in the Baltic countries.

“Baltic Connecting event is not only a place to meet with your current or find potential new partners. What’s more important, the event is a great chance to showcase the best of the Baltic countries. Travel professionals unfamiliar with Baltic states may experience local hospitality, appreciate culture and traditions, savor new tastes, and find inspiration for new travel products and partnerships,” says Nona Sareikiene, Baltic Connecting 2024 event management operator and Head of DMC and MICE Operations at Estravel.

The Estravel team dedicated themselves to bringing this event from its very beginnings to its final grand stage. We are happy to provide our services to cater to the arrival to Vilnius of 52 foreign travel professionals from long-haul destinations and create an unforgettable professional and leisure experience. Foreign travel agents had the opportunity to meet with 50 providers and DMCs from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia at a B2B workshop held at the centrally located Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva conference center.

The event was crowned with a Gala dinner for foreign and domestic agents, tourism boards representatives, and partners of the event at the iconic Vaidila Theater. Together with Lithuania Travel the co-authored event program encompassed the modernity of Lithuania’s society and economy together with ancient traditions that flow in our veins throughout the centuries. The modern representation of the country was in the form of electronic music guru Beissoul & Einius and a flamboyant, eye-catching laser show. All of this was complemented by a traditional folklore performance followed by electronic music in a hall decorated with traditional Lithuanian straw gardens.

Baltic Connecting event is not about one Baltic country; therefore, participants of the event were invited to go on fam trips to Latvia and Estonia, where they gained wider knowledge of the region, its traditions, architecture, culture.

“We believe in the Lithuania Travel motto that Lithuania isn’t just a place to visit—it’s an experience to share and a story to tell! Therefore we tailored fam trips according to each participating destination’s specifics and needs to get maximum satisfaction, e.g. the Japanese travel agents were invited to feel authentic experiences and try the attractions first hand, the American representatives were offered to appreciate the natural beauty of the area like national parks and the seaside. The highlight of the fam trips was the hot air-balloon flight over the medieval island castle of Trakai and majestic lakes and forests ”, says Aliona Girič, Manager of DMC Operations at Estravel.
