In March, Estravel had the privilege of participating in the world-renowned ITB Berlin fair, representing Lithuania alongside other Baltic travel industry leaders. Stationed at the vibrant and bustling Lithuania stand, our team was delighted by the interest from visitors who sought inspiration for their next travel adventure.
Estravel’s representatives had the opportunity to engage with attendees from diverse countries, with particularly strong interest from Norway, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria. These regions demonstrated a keen curiosity about exploring the cultural and natural gems of the Baltic countries.
During the fair, Estravel introduced a range of thoughtfully curated special interest tours across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. From gastronomic journeys that celebrate the unique flavors of the Baltics to school trips, musical tours, and architecture and history explorations, our programs cater to varied traveler preferences. These itineraries reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and welcoming hospitality.
A growing trend: active leisure in the Baltics 
This year, Estravel noticed a significant shift in focus toward active leisure opportunities in the Baltic region. As Julija Poškienė, Estravel’s Business Development Manager, noted:
“Many of the agents visiting our stand were particularly interested in active leisure options in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Activities like cycling, hiking, and canoeing drew a lot of attention. Visitors also inquired about opportunities to stay along the Baltic Sea and explore the UNESCO-listed Curonian Spit with its iconic tall sand dunes.“
This growing demand for active experiences aligns perfectly with the Baltics’ vast potential for outdoor adventure. From scenic trails and pristine waterways to unique coastal landscapes, the region offers countless ways to explore its natural beauty.

Our experience at ITB Berlin reaffirms the increasing appeal of the Baltic countries as a top travel destination in Europe. With interest steadily growing in both cultural immersion and active pursuits, Estravel is committed to crafting itineraries that meet these evolving travel preferences while showcasing the best of what Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have to offer.
