The Michelin Guide helps true gourmets discover places that offer the highest level of culinary experiences worldwide. The great news is that Lithuania has finally been included on the Michelin Guide map. The list of the first Lithuanian restaurants selected for the Michelin Guide was presented at a grand ceremony on June 13, 2024. We are delighted that Estravel could contribute to the organization of this event, commissioned by the National Tourism Development Agency “Lithuania Travel,” and take care of the event’s implementation: securing venue and decoration, guest catering with high-level service, audio, video, and lighting equipment, photo zone setup, musical evening program, and other services. We thank “Lithuania Travel” for their trust and professional cooperation. Special thanks to Estravel’s partners for their professional mutual cooperation, which ensured high-level services and a smooth and memorable Michelin Guide awards evening.
Congratulations to all 34 Lithuanian restaurants that have made it into the prestigious culinary guide. Four restaurants were awarded one star each, four received the “Bib Gourmand” category, one was given a “Green Star,” and 26 restaurants were included in the list of recommended places to visit. While traveling around Lithuania, Michelin Guide inspectors sought out the best restaurants. They visited different regions of the country, including Klaipėda, Trakai, Kaunas, and Vilnius, and sampled both classic and modern dishes. The inspectors took into account the tasting menus that feature the best local and seasonal products, the unique methods of food preservation, and the use of zero waste filosophy in dish preparation.
