No Need to Remove Liquids from Hand Luggage Anymore
For some time already, passengers departing from Vilnius and Kaunas airports have not needed to remove electronic devices during security checks. Starting from August 22th , liquids also no longer need to be taken out of hand luggage.
By decision of the European Commission, passengers may carry liquid containers up to 2 liters each in their hand luggage. The type or shape of the containers does not matter. However, passengers must remember that airlines define the total weight and dimensions of hand luggage, so travelers should also take into account the baggage restrictions applied by their carrier. Winter Aviation Season News 2025–2026
From October 26, 2025, Vilnius Airport will offer regular direct flights to Krakow, Poland’s historic capital. Low-cost airline Wizz Air will operate flights four times per week. Note: airBaltic already operates regular flights on the Vilnius–Krakow route.

From April 1, 2026 – May 27, 2026 and from September 23 – October 21, 2026, direct charter flights will be available to Alamein, Egypt, from both Vilnius and Palanga airports.

For the 2025–2026 winter holidays, three long-haul destinations will be served with direct charter flights from Vilnius: Zanzibar, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka.

Ski holidays: resorts in the Italian and French Alps will be available via direct charter flights.
